Maui - Hawaii Jaws
adicionado em: 19/01/2010
Just arrived in maui with some wind to test the Prototypes of the Fly sail from Neilpryde for 2011 production. I got a nice day to test some big size sails in the west side , then 2 days in hookipa with some nice waves. Sunday we had a very nice Swell for Jaws and we planed to go windsurf there but as the wind was light we canceled , but as I was going to leave Maliko Bay my friend Robert Teritehau show up alone with his Jetski on his way to Jaws. He explane me that his partner Ross Clark Jones was sick, so he ask me if I would like to join him , and af course I tought very well before saying yes because I know he is crazy on the water and I didn't want to get die that day...ahahahah! Anyway I had no choice he said I had to go, and that end up been the best thing I did, he was like a father to me out there , out me on exelent waves on towin surf . After when he started surf he charged so hard on a big set , and he went to deep and wipeout , so when we took him on the inside he was spitting blod...., and you know what he says when he look to us , "put me on a bigger one"! Anyway , so after surf the wind started to fill in abit so we took our wind and kite gear and when for some sailing , but was only 5 knots , so the only way was to towin windsurf , and he teach me how to go, because he says that is how he does in teahupo , so then I went. Was the hardest thing ever, but very fun!
So trades will start blowin again today so hope to start doing some regular windsurf now!!
